How do you spell BLU?

There really are some incredible stories of how and who and the amazing weaves to this story. One of those was a phone call with a young lady named Maria. We started talking with some ideas of how we both could benefit from working with each other and 30-40 minutes later we were both over the top excited for the intense possibilites. Things that would really take the Myrtle Beach Wedding Extravaganza to a whole new level. Then we scheduled a meeting with her father-in-law, Frankie just 2 days later and it was just another series of adding creative ideas together and solving other problems. Next thing you know, BLU Energy Drinks is very on board. We have 200 really nice T-Shirts being printed, all kinds of social media pushes, although another party stepped up to cover the helicopter fuel costs, they were more than ready to cover that cost. Which you just may not realize, but someone willing to is HUGE!!!! They also made the arrangements for an after party at Senor Frog's. They also were going to try and make fireworks possible!!! How amazing is that. Unfortunately, we found out the cost was like 5 times what we thought it was. For those of you who know anything about me and this project you know I have wanted fireworks something bad. But I digress. Thank you so much Frankie for believing in me and this project enought to be at least willing to try and provide us fireworks. We have a super cool BLU surprise in store! Again, I shared the idea and Frankie calls me and says sounds great! Oh by the way the order is already here!!! Then in our conversation, and hearing we had a rather large blow to one of our venues backing out last minute. Frankie, recommends another vendor / venue. I made the call and VOILA! Crisis averted! I have to say it has been a fantastic experience meeting and working with Frankie and Maria at Blu Energy Drinks. If I ever have the choice between Monster, Red Bull or Blu Energy, there is hands down no choice! I will support and recommend them anyday! In closing, I am going to try and share as many stories as I can over the next 2 days until we launch our 5 weddings in 5 days. But it is people like Frankie and Maria and small businesses like theirs that have made this project shine. Its people working together sharing ideas and coming up with solutions. Its networks of friends and business relationships forged over the years, that allow someone like me to talk to Frankie at 3pm. Him share the name and number for a business that can solve an issue I have. That person then not only answering the phone but then being willing to come meet me even though they are on vacation. I am rambling and I am sorry! In closing, humbled beyond belief! August

She is Stunning, She is Beautiful, and she giggles...

Today was an amazing / interesting day for me and I do not want to take away from Alex and Lisa, but I was really just struck with some of the REAL REALITY that this is REALLY all coming together so smoothly. We were with Micki from Coastal Bridal and with Amanda from Amanda's Collection today for Alex and Lisa to try on dresses and suits. When I saw Lisa come out with her first wedding dress on she was just aglow! Beeming from ear to ear! Then she was enamored and all smiles for the second dress. Then she was totally Marilyn'ing it in the third dress. The ideas and visions and planning were all taking on this "reality". This couple, Alex and Lisa are just completely blown away at how all of these vendors in Myrtle Beach have come together to pull off this wild idea called the Myrtle Beach Wedding Extravaganza. It really is one thing to think about an idea. Watching it unfold and become real... it's a bit surreal. Micki and Amanda are also going out of their way the day before Thanksgiving. One's store is not even scheduled to be open. Another is staying way late. Yet both more than willing to offer their time and services. Both so thankful to be involved. I know there are going to be some that do not have a chance to get to know and hang out with Alex and Lisa. This actually makes me a bit sad. Not in a bad way, but that being around them, their humility, their genuiness, has been nothing short of refreshing! If you could have seen the sheer joy on Lisa's face today... that alone would have made all of this worth it. If you could have seen her giggling seeing this become a reality for her. Realizing she gets to shine in some of the most amazing dresses! All while being as humble as you can imagine and holding the door for me or offering for me to go up the stairs first. HUGE, HUGE shout out to both Micki and Amanda, not just for their participation, but really going out of their way today! Thank you Tasha for insisting Spike email me about Alex and Lisa. Thank you Alex and Lisa for responding to my email inviting you here. Then continuing to believe in and add to the wild ideas that has become the Myrtle Beach Wedding Extravaganza! Alex and Lisa are in MYRTLE BEACH!

I had a chance to meet up with Alex and Lisa tonight in North Myrtle Beach. It is absolutely AMAZING how genuine they are. Exactly what you see of them on any video you may have seen is just how they are in person. Spike and Tasha Cohen were responsible for introducing me to Alex and Lisa and encouraging me to reach out to them about coming to Myrtle Beach. So, we met them for dinner and it was as if we have been friends forever! We then moved out to the parking lot and hung out in and around Peggy, getting to know some of the little nuggets of pretty funny stories of their trip, including Alex buying sun dried shrimp in Mexico. Just toooooo fun! Then Alex and Lisa retired to my place where we had a few glasses of wine and just kind of caught up. Also, as if we have been friends for life and just have not seen each other in a while. I really am blessed and honored to know them and getting to call them friends. I am more than positive that as any and all of us involved in this wild Myrtle Beach Wedding Extravaganza, get a chance to spend any time with Alex and Lisa, you will simply fall in love with them. For those of you reading this in detail, there are some really great things in store. Some things that will cause you to look back on this project and just be amazed at where it started and where it grows! I can not reveal the details, however, I am just mind boggled at what is on our horizons. I am also going to be getting caught up on some posts related to some significant sponsorships from the likes of Blu Energy Drinks and Divine Dining! So, please stay tuned!!!
